Motion Design
Using the slanted ‘strike’ from the new A-Leagues logo, motion behaviors were defined to communicate the physical movements of the football.
Speed, scale and 3D revolutions became the parameters to represent techniques such as dribbling and tackling, as well as convey emotive moments such as celebrations. The elemental animations could then be repeated, amplified and offset to create big bold patterns.
We also explored how these patterns could flex from purely graphical, to being integrated with game visuals for transitional moments. Secondary to this was animating typography for hero moments. - which along with the animated patterns, became the foundation for the broadcast and social content graphics.
